4th Official French Tournament (E-kyu)

Date: October 2025, Saturday the 18th

Location: Gymnase Elisabeth (7, avenue Paul Appell, Paris 14^e)

Participation Fee: 10€ (To pay on the day of the tournament)

Registration deadline: October, Sunday the 12th

Please be sure to include your full name, your phone number, and if yes or not you will participate to any of the training sessions on the day before and after the tournament.

E-kyu Schedule

Arrival – 8:30 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.

Opening speech – 8:50 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.

Qualifying rounds – 9:00 a.m. to 1:15p.m.

Elimination rounds – 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Award ceremony – 5:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

More information

Free training sessions will be held for players of all levels on the day before and after the tournament.

17th of October: practice from 10 am to 4 pm at MIE bastille (50, rue des Tourelles 75003 Paris)

19th of October: practice from 9:30 am to 5 pm at the tournament location (7, avenue Paul Appell, Paris 14^e)

About promotion: 2 to 4 people will be able to pass 1st dan depending on the number of people entering the tournament (16-23 = 2 people, 24-29 = 3 people, 30+ = 4 people).

We are grateful to everyone who already attempted our 3^rd tournament last year, it was really a pleasure to see so many people coming from abroad and joining our tournament! Thank you all so much.

We hope that a lot of you will be able to attend this October. We will do our best to make this an unforgettable experience, so that foreign players can be introduced to competitive Karuta and prepared for more challenging tournaments in Japan.
